What brought us here
It all began in 2011 when Aquafil introduced the ECONYL® Regeneration System—a groundbreaking innovation that transforms waste into high-performing nylon without relying on fossil fuels. Discarded fishing nets, old carpets, and fabric scraps that would otherwise pollute the planet are collected worldwide and regenerated into ECONYL® nylon, delivering the same quality and same performance as standard nylon.

This circular process allows nylon to be endlessly recycled, creating new materials infinitely and without the reliance on oil.
